In a survey of over 1200 families, researchers with Deakin University’s Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research discovered a new kind of blindness: the inability to see your offspring as overweight. They found that 89 percent of parents of overweight children between five and six years old, and 63 percent of parents of overweight kids between ten and twelve years old, did not realize that their children were chubby.
