The rumor mill is running overtime of course, and everyone has an opinion about where Dale Jr. will be going. With the comments by Joe Gibbs about the inappropriateness of a beer sponsorship, in spite of the king of beer being prominent at Fedex Field where the Redskins play, and Rick Hendrick saying his team quota is full (does he have a long term contract with Casey Mears?), it seems the possibilities have been narrowed down quite a bit. Then there are the statements made by Junior himself, that he wants to go to a winning team, to be a contender, and that he wants to drive a chevy (while he would, wouldn’t he) not just because they are dominating the sport to a ridiculous degree, but also because he sells them.
Dodge owners Ray Evernham, Chip Ganassi and Roger Penske all have said they’d like an opportunity to sign Earnhardt, but acknowledge they are long shots because of Junior’s loyalty to Chevrolet.

So, that leaves us with only RCR, unless you put Ginn racing into the mix. They aren’t one of the big Chevy teams though. So as we debate, discuss and wait.. the choices seem to be pretty narrow no matter what anyone says.
