Description:
JaJah ia a long distance phone company, but not just ANY long distance phone company. JaJah offers cheap rates through out the world using a unique web voip callback system. Plus, calls are free between JaJah users and it works with mobile (cell) phones. How it works:
Calls are initiated by an easy to use web interface. During sign-up, you are requested to enter your phone number for verification purposes. An automated system will dial the number you give to verify the number really belongs to you. That's it. After that, you initiate your call through the JaJah web interface. JaJah will call your phone back, and initate the call. You can optionally allow the system to play your a short advertisement. If you choose this option JaJa will add extra credit to your account.
This system works woldwide, but I live in Canada and with it I can make calls from my mobile phone. If not using the web interface or when calling a non- JaJah user, the call is $0.03c/minute. Still cheaper then most other long distance plans.
Bonus Features:
JaJan can also be used to call Skype and SIP phones as well ! Just prefix your call with skype: or sip: respetivly and your on your way.
Warnings:
If your a roaming, on a cell phone your cell phone company may charge you additional (expensive) rates for recieving a long distance phone call. So if you wish to make long distance calls with your cell phone, and you are out of your calling area. It is best to a) Purchase a local "Pay as you go" SIM card or b) Purchase a seperate long distance phone card for outgoing calls (I recommend the Presidents Choice cards for best value in the maritimes). Remember: JaJah calls you back to initiate the call so an outgoing long distance call when roaming may have incoming long distance charges from your carrier because of this.
